2015 Fall Fair

In just over one month we will be hosting our fifth annual Fall Fair. This is an incredible event where we as a church body get to serve our community and invite them to a day of family-friendly fun and food all for free!

Lori Krottner and Lorraine Teichroeb have headed up the planning and organization of this amazing event since its inception in 2010. Lorraine explains, “The heart behind Fall Fair has always been to throw open the doors of MTC and invite the community to come and have a day out on us. To give our people a place to invite their neighbors and friends that they are building relationship with.”

At its core, Fall Fair is about relationships and connection. We build relationships with the people in our community by inviting them into our home and serving them. We have a great opportunity to show them the love of Christ and what we are about as a church, through this event.

“I love the disbelief on someone’s face when you say: ‘It’s on us you need not pay.’ They usually ask why and our reply is because we want to give back a little bit to our community and invite them into our home,” says Lori.

Lorraine adds, “I also love hearing the stories from the café of families just new to the area or the country and how they connect at MTC through the fair.”

An additional dimension of connection that happens through the Fall Fair, is with regard to relationships within our church family. As we serve together we build relationships with other members of the church body as well. Lorraine comments, “There is a real sense of celebration and purpose among the volunteers and I just love to see people visiting the Sunday after who didn't know each other before.”

This year’s Fall Fair will be happening on Saturday, September 12, 2015. We are looking forward to reaching out and ministering to our community once again.
